"Save Your Breath" by Finger Eleven

It started out of love, and ended real in love

Now they remember us as dynamite and dust

So save your breath, don't fire slings and arrows yet

'Cos silence is all the both of us have left

Don't tell me that you told me so and you saw it coming years ago

I'll tell you every one accountable like a target by the barrel fold

Don't tell me that you told me so and you saw it coming years ago

Coming faster than a cannibal like a target standing ten feet tall

I can't blame 'em all, so you can save your

Don't tell me that you told me so and you saw it coming years ago

I'll tell you every one accountable like a target by the barrel fold

Don't tell me that you told me so and you saw it years ago

Save your breath, don't fire slings and arrows yet

I believe that this song best represents Hamlet's feelings towards his family and friends. They have all betrayed him, and he feels like he cannot trust anyone, "Man delights not me, (no,) nor women neither, though by your smiling you seem to say so" (Act 2 scene ii 332-334). In the lines just stated, Hamlet is saying that he is done. He is shutting out his friends and family. He has heard enough of their lies. The lyrics, "So save your breath, don't fire slings and arrows yet'. Cos silence is all the both of us have left" perfectly shows Hamlet's attitude towards those around him.
